About Groundwork Rentals LLC

We are a family-owned car rental company based in Winter Haven, Florida. We started Groundwork Rentals LLC because we saw two gaps in Polk County: affordable, honest weekly rentals for the growing number of gig economy drivers in the area, and straightforward short-term car rentals for tourists, visitors, and anyone who needs wheels for a few days without the big-chain markup.

Our long-term rental program gives gig drivers a way to get on the road without a credit check, without employment verification, and without hidden fees. We keep our fleet maintained, our insurance current, and our rental terms plain enough to read in five minutes. If something goes wrong with the car, we fix it. If you have a question at 7 AM on a Saturday, we answer.

Our short-term rentals serve a different customer: families visiting LEGOLAND, travelers passing through, people whose car is in the shop, or anyone in town for a few days who needs a reliable vehicle. Same clean cars, same local service, just a different rental period and pricing structure.

Winter Haven sits in the heart of Polk County, between Orlando and Tampa, surrounded by more than 50 lakes. It is home to LEGOLAND Florida and a short drive from Bok Tower Gardens, the Chain of Lakes, and downtown Lakeland. For gig drivers, the location gives access to Polk County, parts of Osceola County, and the I-4 corridor. For visitors, Winter Haven is a quieter and more affordable base than the tourist corridors of Kissimmee and International Drive, with easy access to all of Central Florida's attractions.

We serve Winter Haven, Lakeland, Auburndale, Haines City, Bartow, Lake Wales, and the broader Polk County area. Vehicle pickup for both long-term and short-term rentals is in Winter Haven.
